Blithe Spirit is a comic play written by Noel Coward. It’s about a sceptical novelist called Charles Condomine. He invites the self-proclaimed and eccentric medium Madame Arcati to his home for a seance, hoping to gather material for a new book.
The hapless psychic accidentally summons the spirit of his late wife, Elvira. Charles quickly finds his life turned into a shambles as his wife's ghost torments him and his new bride, Ruth.
Ruth is then accidentally killed. And the two women join forces to haunt the hapless Charles forever.
